What to do when somebody else claimed your dependent when they're not supposed to

Make sure your own return is correct, then print it, sign it, and mail it in.  Don't e-file it; it'll just be rejected again.  When the IRS receives two returns each claiming the same dependent, they will determine who has the rightful claim according to tax law.  Loser will get billed for additional taxes.
