What States should I report taxes to?

Hello!

I have a LLC- Small Business Corp registered in South Carolina. I moved the office and myself to NY.

Do I have to file LLC taxes in SC, NY or both?

Also, Do I have to file personal taxes in SC, NY or both?

Thank you!

I had no business in SC, except that the LLC is registered there.

Do I have to file LLC taxes in SC, NY or both?

Thank you!

An LLC is a legal term for a business structure and does not impact your taxes unless you have opted to be taxed as a corporation.

There is no such thing as LLC taxes, but you do have to report your business income. If you have not opted to be taxed as a corporation, your business income would be reported on Schedule C of your personal return. What states you have to file in is dependent upon your residency and the state your income was earned in.

Without knowing your residency status and what other income you earned for the year, we can't advise on your filing requirements.

I have to file form 1120-S for my LLC (elected as small-business).

LLC was formed in South Carolina.

My LLC have NO OTHER connection to SC, I do not reside in SC or have produced income in SC.

My question is: Do I have to file S Corporation tax return in SC because the LLC was created there?

Thanks again!

No, you report your S-Corp income to the state(s) you are doing business in (earning the income).  If your business does not operate in SC, you do not have to file an S-Corp tax return in SC.
