What does "IL due" mean on the top bar?

I am doing my tax return with TurboTax and the amount of money that I will received from federal shows up on the top bar. But, the amount of money that I will receive from state does not show up although I finished state return process. It just shows up like "IL due $1". Is there anyone who knows what this means? I would appreciate it if you could explain this for me. Thank you in advance.

Due means you have to pay the state.  You are not getting a state refund.

If you are preparing an Illinois state tax return, you may see "IL due" or "IL tax due" at the top of the screen next to the Federal amount due or refund.

Also, you can view your entire return or just your 1040 form before you e-file to see how your taxes were calculated and to preview the forms that TurboTax has prepared from your entries:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account
  2. Open or continue your return
  3. Select Tax Tools from the menu (if you don't see this, select the menu icon in the upper-left corner)
  4. With the Tax Tools menu open, you can then:
    • Preview your entire return: Select Print Center and then Print, save or preview this year's return (you may be asked to register or pay first if you choose this option)
    • View only your 1040 form: Select Tools. Next, select View Tax Summary in the pop-up, then Preview my 1040 in the left menu
    • You will see a state summary in the left menu as well.

Thanks to both of you for your kind explanation!
