We moved from one county to another in the same state in 2019, but my W-2 only shows local taxes paid in one county. What do we do?

Not exactly.  You have to fill out the county section of the Turbotax program to allocate the county tax withheld.  If the counties have different tax rates, there's a possibility you may have to pay more or might get a refund.

It depends.

Each state has different rules when there are local taxes.  Some states only ask that you file in the county you reside in at the end of the year.

Please comment with the state you reside in and we can provide more information as it directly relates to your return.

I have also attached a link to the state Department of Revenue listings for all states for your reference if you would like to look it up as well.

How do I contact my state?

IN county tax is paid/filed thru the state income tax filing.  The TT interview should handle that.

My employer took taxes out of my check but only for my old county, so my new county of residence received none. Are you saying the state will sort it out?  Thank you.
