We made estimated tax payments to North Carolina using the NC-40 form. However I can not find a way to enter those amounts in my NC state tax return.

If you made estimated payments directly to the state of North Carolina, here is how to report them in TurboTax Online:

  1. Navigate to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Estimates and Other Taxes Paid > Estimated Tax Payments > Start or Revisit
  2. Select Start or Revisit State estimated taxes for 2024
  3. Say yes to the question Did you pay state estimated taxes for 2024?
  4. Now, you will be asked How much did you pay in state estimated taxes? Create an entry in the Additional Payments section for each North Carolina estimate paid.
