w-2 state more then 20% withhold in state taxes Illinois wages

Turbo Tax states the customer can still e-file the federal it is coming up with error (w-2 state more then 20% withhold in state taxes Illinois wages ) how can the customer e-file the federal ....does the customer have to remove the state return and file the federal and go back in and file the state (file them separately) will the federal e- file with the one error on the 20% error message that comes up on federal tax return ...because the w-2 state withholding can not be changed ..

Since that is a state warning shown on the screen, the Federal electronic filing should not be affected.

Select 'e-file' for the Federal return and 'mail' for the state return.  There should be no need to delete the state return before electronically filing the Federal return as long as the state return is not selected for electronic filing.
