TurboTax says my Federal itemized deductions do not exceed the KY state std deduction amt of $5060, but they DO. How can I itemize deductions on KY state return?

You must enter the itemized deductions on the Federal return.  However, Kentucky eliminated a number of itemized deductions in 2018.  The only real itemized deductions available now are home mortgage interest and charitable contributions.  Real estate tax, local taxes, car registration tax, unreimbursed employee expenses, medical deductions and even gambling losses were all eliminated.  For more information, please click on this link:  KY Income tax Law Changes
