Turbo tax keeps saying "oops, it looks like we're missing some of your personal information like state and zip".

To fix that you need to revisit the section called My Info. Select My Info from the left side menu. Fill in any missing information there.

thank you, JulieS.  however, i've done what you said and revisited My Info multiple times and made sure that all fields were filled in.  it seems like there's a glitch/bug in the TT online software.

Can you try following the steps below and let us know if this resolves your issue:

 

This is caused when the MAX bundle is in the order and there are issues with the information entered in the Personal Info section. This can happen in the following situations:

  • You have a foreign mailing address entered, but are paying with a U.S.-based credit/debit card
  • The first name you've entered is only one letter

This can be resolved by temporarily changing your information under Personal Info, then changing it back before filing your return. If you have a foreign address, enter the U.S. billing address for the card you're trying to use. If you have only one letter as your first name, change this to your full first name, as shown on your social security card.

  1. Click on the Personal Info tab at the top
  2. Make the necessary changes to your personal Information
  3. Click the File tab at the top and click Start next to Step 1
  4. Continue to pay for TurboTax Online
  5. Continue through the interview until, in Step 3, you've signed the consent form for MAX Assist & Defend
  6. Return to Personal Info and set your mailing address back to the correct address, as described in steps 1-3, before transmitting your return

If you've followed the above steps and you continue to get the error message, it can be resolved by removing the MAX Benefits from your order, which will allow you to file.

Note: If you choose to remove the MAX bundle and file, you will not be able to order it later.

My final review keeps telling me my info section is missing my email but there is no place to enter it?

In the lower left corner in TurboTax Online, click on 'Intuit Account'.

 

On the next page, choose 'Sign In and Security' to change your Email address.

This is not the issue. I have been told that their is some kind of bug causing this issue. I don't understand how if this is a problem numerous people are facing how it hasn't been fixed or that sites like this which are connected to Turbotax doent seem to know about this issue

If you are filing with a foreign address, you will need to have a US-based bank for your refund. Please see this Help article for details. Filing with a foreign address

 

It might be that there is something stuck in the browser cache that keeps bringing this back after you have reviewed the My Info section. Please try signing out of TurboTax, then signing in with a different browser, or clearing your cache and cookies and closing your browser. Then, relaunch and sign back in to see if the error is resolved. Please see this Help article for clearing your cache and cookies. Clearing cache and cookies in your browser

 

If this does not resolve the issue, please let us know if this message is happening in the state return or the federal and in which section it appears. This will help us determine what is causing the error.

I am also getting the same error (see below). There is no place for me to enter my Email in the "My Info" section and I am not allowed to submit my return without filling this out. When will this issue be fixed?

 

Go back to the My Info section, add your missing information (or fix what's incorrect), and then come back and complete your order.
What information am I missing?

After so much manipulation, sometimes our cookies can cause an issue and needs to be cleared.  We recommend you clear your history, cookies, cache and reboot your system.  Try again to submit after you do this.  See steps below.

 

Cookies are small files that temporarily store data on your computer. We use them to personalize your experience so you see information you already entered and not items that are irrelevant or repetitive.

On rare occasions, they may make your browser think you already did something that you still need to do. To fix that, you'll need to delete (clear) the cookies from your browser.

Each browser has a slightly different method for deleting cookies. Choose the browser you're using:

After doing this several times, I figured out I had to go to the bottom left and click "Intuit account", then to "sign in & security" tab. There it shows my email but it is unverified. I clicked to verify and I was sent an email to click and verify thru the email, I am now able to file my taxes.

This was a stupid bug, but you're work around does work. They should tell you what the actual problem is rather than sending you to look for a field that doesn't exist.

Says I am missing email.  I entered it and verified email in the Intuit account.  Anywhere else it needs to be?  when I look at my info section there is no email line?

same issue. Nothing fixes it. Thanks for wasting hours of my life doing taxes I can't file. Never again will I use this product.  clicking help also brings up an error!

Same thing is happening to me! I’ve tried everything to “submit my missing email” TurboTax fix this please. I cant even call them for a problem with their own website. Super annoyed.

Same thing is happening to me! So frustrating. It is my first time submitting taxes and I heard turbo tax was supposed to be user friendly. I have spent over an hour trying everything turbo tax suggest to “fix” it. Verify your email on intuit, clear your cookies, sign out use a different browser, check your info. Like pls, this is ridiculous. Bad experience as a first time user.

It’s my first time too! I have everything ready to go just not my email??? How do y’all think I logged into turbo tax???? I’m super frustrated. I’ve also tried everything to fix it, verify it, enter it, clear my cache and cookies. I just wish I could get someone on the phone but nooo we have to pay to talk to someone for a problem on their end.
