Turbo Tax Deluxe Online did not allow me to itemize deductions on MT state taxes.

I used Turbo Tax Deluxe online to do my taxes.  I usually take the standard deduction on my federal taxes and itemize on my Montana state taxes.  This year Turbo Tax did not let me itemize my deductions on my state taxes.  It's like it auto selected the standard deduction because that's what I chose for my federal.  I didn't realize this until after I filed and was able to actually download the forms.  Turbo Tax has denied there is any problem with their program and is completely unwilling to help.

I need to know what the best path is for correcting this error.  Although I already paid Turbo Tax they are unwilling to help.  I will probably have to pay someone else to fix this, which puts me out even more money.  Not a happy customer.

Montana does not have itemized deductions anymore.

Montana no longer has a specific standard deduction. The calculation of Montana taxable income will begin with federal taxable income (less the federal qualified business income deduction). This means that if you take the federal standard deduction, it will be used to figure your Montana taxable income. If you itemize deductions on your federal return, this amount (without regard to the state income tax deduction) will be used to calculate your Montana taxable income.  Montana Tax Simplification Resource Hub

Looks like MT uses the Federal deduction amount to calculate the MT deduction.  So if you itemized there,  that COULD be the amount you will get on line 2 of MT Form 2 (adjusted federal itemized deduction).  Otherwise you get whatever the standard amount is for your filing status.  It is all calculated for you.
