TT review of my MA state return found error. How can I fix it?

It's saying I need to enter an amount for MA bank interest - it shows $0 and that is correct - on Schedule R/NR but it doesn't show where it should be entered - even though it's $0  Then TurboTax brings up the Schedule R/NR worksheet.  If I was a 'part year resident' and did not receive MA source income while not a resident I should select 'part year resident', however although it wasn't bank interest, I did receive MA source income.

It sounds like your residency is making the difference. Read these descriptions to determine what fits your situation. Here is how Massachusetts defines the choices you have:

1. You are a full-year resident if your residence (domicile) was in Massachusetts for the entire taxable year or if you maintained a permanent place of abode in Massachusetts and during the year spent more than 183 days, in the aggregate, in the state. If you fit this description, you should file Form 1, Massachusetts Resident Income Tax Return.

2. You are a nonresident if you are not a resident of Massachusetts as defined above but received Massachusetts source income (e.g. from a job in Massachusetts).

3. You are a part-year resident if, during the taxable year, you moved to Massachusetts or established a permanent place of abode here and became a resident, or you terminated your status as a Massachusetts resident to establish a residence outside the state.

4. If you were a Massachusetts resident for part of the 2018 tax year, and while you were not a resident of Massachusetts you received Massachusetts source income (e.g., from a job in Massachusetts), file as both a nonresident and part-year resident.
