TT Didn't Ask for CA efile Declaration - Filed: Now What?

TT Business (CD version) efiling step walked me through printing and attaching the IRS efile declaration. It let me efile for California without stating that a California efile declaration form (only saw the form after filing) had to be completed. Now what?

You do not need to send the declaration to the state- by using your PIN or AGI, it is an electric signature to show you filed your taxes through TurboTax.

First time TT Business user. Reply was not helpful:

1. FTB takes up to 5 days to send out a PIN. Filed Federal Return on March 13 which would mean that a PIN would be received three days after needing to file.

2. Reply did not answer the question about what California would do if e-file declaration was not submitted with the efiled return.

3. Reply did not respond to the inconsistency between the steps to efile for Federal versus State. TT walks through Fed steps, but not State and does not give any error message.

When you filed and submitted the PIN, it takes care of not having to file a declaration with the state.

Once it walks through the federal, it would only state sted different for the state if needed. @stjohn95525
