The amount shown to me is supposed to be Federal AGI (it says "Your total federal adjusted gross income (AGI) is shown below.") But the amount it is showing is the California AGI (over $4k higher than Federal). I can see in the generated tax return PDF that the amount being shown for this prompt is the same number (California AGI). This seems to be a bug in the user interface or the calculator. Can I proceed?
I just checked and this bug still exists. I found out a bit more about how the user interface is wrong. It should be asking for State AGI (for those three fillable fields).
On my California tax return, form FTB 5805 Part III, I see those federal values are replicated. Even though the form clearly says "Enter your California adjusted gross income (AGI) for each period."
Screenshot attached. $103,521 is my California AGI ($4,057 higher than my Federal AGI). So 1(d) is correct. But the federal values are in 1(a), 1(b), and 1(c) - yet they're supposed to be state values per the FTB 5805 instructions.

It does not help. I'm telling you, there is a bug (defect) with the TurboTax software. Please read the comment I made earlier and review the screenshot. Federal AGI is not supposed to be plugged in to FTB Form 5805 per the Franchise Tax Board's instructions.
