The SD 100 school district code isn't accepted and won't let me e-file my return. It keeps saying to mail the return. The Ohio Dept of Tax says it's 5004. What do I do?

Why won't my 5004 SD 100 code work for my school district number selection for Ohio Tax?

SD 5004 is  Canfield LSD in MAHONING COUNTY.  It is a SD without an income tax.  TT isn't going to e-file an SD100 for SD 5004 and you probably shouldn't mail one either.

You only pay School district Income tax (SDIT) to the district you live in.  Unlike Ohio city income tax, you do not pay SDIT to the SD you work in.

To verify or find out if you live in a school district or city with an income tax enter your address at:

Yes, TT has to correct its error before we can efile.
