State MN Taxes and 1040 form

Good day.  I am having to file by snail mail this year.  Turbo Tax prepared a MN Nonresident State Tax return for me, and with it, Turbo Tax also printed a second copy of my completed Federal1040 to go with my STATE taxes.

I'm assuming the 1040 needs to be mailed with the state return since it printed this way.  But do I have to sign the second 1040 that's going with my MN tax return?  Or just include the copy unsigned?  My MN state return is already signed.

To be very specific, my main 1040 going to the IRS is also signed.  The question is just specifically aimed at the second 1040 that TurboTax prepared as part of my MN state return.

You don't have to sign the copy of the federal return that is attached to your state return. Label the federal return as a "copy". You do need to sign the state return.

See this Minnesota webpage for more information on filing a paper Minnesota tax return.
