Form IT-203 is the New York Nonresident and Part-Year Resident Income Tax Return. To remove an amount that should not be on this return, return to the state interview and adjust the allocations.

How do I allocate (split) income for a part-year state tax return?

Thanks for the quick response. That's the issue. I don't think I've allocated any income to NY. Is there a way to go to the form and delete it or trace it from the form?

If you need to allocate income to NY, you may need to review your W2 entries in the federal section along with your answers going through NY state program.

Tracing:

  • If you are using the desktop version, you can go to FORMS mode. From there you can right click and data source.
  • If you are using the online version, there is no way to trace.

As for deleting the form, see How to Delete.
