Should I skip questions about income that don't apply?

Hello, I am filling out the state portion of income for California.

If a category such as "Native American Wage Income Exception" does not apply to me because I do not have excludable wages pertaining to this subject, then should I answer with "$0" or not answer the question at all?

Thank you

It depends.

Typically TurboTax will tell you if you need enter information or not.  You would see enter a $0 if this does not apply.  Therefore, I recommend reviewing each input screen as prompted to ensure you have entered information if required.  If nothing is needed to be input, you do not need to enter anything.

If an entry is needed, TurboTax will flag the input section when going through the review section to ensure all input in made as needed.
