Possible Error in Louisiana State Tax Return--529 contribution deduction

The software is limiting my Louisiana 529 plan contribution deduction to $4,800 total. I believe the limit is $4,800 per beneficiary (child). Is this an error? If so, can it be corrected soon in the software?

It depends. I checked the software and it seems to work well. You receive the deduction if your child is listed as the beneficiary and if you file your return Married Filing Jointly.  When you complete the Able Savings section in the Louisiana return, be sure to indicate that both you and your wife are both account holders in the Louisiana 529 plan to get the full $4800 deduction per child (beneficiary).

If you file single or Head of Household without a spouse, your contribution is limited to $2400 deduction per child (beneficiary).
