Partial year resident IL moved to AZ

I don't think Quicken handled this situation correctly. Part year resident of IL and then AZ. My W-2 only showed IL withholdings, I have to look into that. However, when the IL return was processed, it asked for the portion of my AGI that I earned while an IL resident. Then, when the AZ return was processed, no similar question was presented, and when the AZ form is reviewed, it shows $0 for AZ earnings. I would have expected Quicken to either 1] do the math, and subtract IL earnings from AGI and enter that on the AZ form or 2] present me with a similar question about what portion was earned while an AZ resident. I've been through the process a couple times now, and if I manually enter the difference on the AZ form, I show a non-trivial amount due to the state of AZ. I unfortunately allowed my eagerness to finish to override my suspicion that something wasn't right and have filed everything. Wondering if I need to amend my AZ return and cough up the cash.

This TurboTax help response explains how to allocate earned income when filing part-year resident state returns: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/income/help/how-do-i-allocate-split-income-for-a-part-year-state-return/00/26556

If your initial AZ return was filed and accepted, and was incorrect, you will have to file an amended AZ return.

Yeah, I know that. What I wanted to do, and perhaps this is the wrong forum to pursue this question, was have Intuit / Turbotax explain to me why this does not seem to be handled in the background. What did I miss while doing the data entry or where could they improve their software so that others might avoid experiencing anything like this going forward.
