Partial Residency in IL & VA - Taxable Income

I lived in VA for the first half of 2021 and moved to IL for the second half. While in VA I worked virtually for an IL company for 5 months before moving. My VA Turbo tax return is asking me to enter the following amounts

1. Income Also Taxed On Your Illinois Return (I entered the income amount I listed on my Illinois tax return)

2. Tax Actually Paid to Illinois

Would the "Tax Actually Paid to Illinois" be the amount listed on my W2  box 17 "State income tax" in reference to Illinois state wages? I completed my Illinois State Tax return and will be getting a credit, there is no amount other than state income tax that was deducted through my place of employment that I have paid to Illinois.

Thank you to anyone who can help me figure this out. I just want to make sure I am putting the correct info in.

IL does not tax non-resident remote workers.  So your income while you were a VA resident is taxable only by VA.

Your income as an IL resident is taxable only by IL.

So you have no income that is taxed by both states.

My company actually allocated most of my state income taxes to Illinois while I was still living in VA. about 90% of my state income taxes were paid to IL. Even though I made roughly a total of 200,000, my w2 says my state wages for IL are 190,000 and my state wages for VA are 130,000

For example

Box 1. "wages, tips and other compensation" = 200,000

Box 15 "state" list IL and VA

Box 16 "state wages, tips, etc." lists 190,000.00 for Illinois and 130,000 for Virginia

Box 17 "state income tax" list 9,000 for Illinois and 1,200 for Virginia

So when VA is asking how much I taxes I have already paid to Illinois, should I put down the amount of 9,000?

In the My Info section, be sure you answered Yes to the question about having lived in another state, and No to the question about having Other State Income.  This will prompt the program to produce two part-year resident returns.

Enter your W-2 as is.

When you do the state returns, allocate your income between the two states according to how much you earned while a resident of each.

How do I allocate (split) income for a part-year state return? (intuit.com)

You should wind up with a refund on your IL return and (probably) taxes due on your VA return.
