part time resident in Ga and Tennesse??? need to file a tax form in tennessee???

Only $ 4,000 made in Tennessee, main money made in GA. Now a Ga resident.

On the W2 he received from the Tennessee company no state taxes we taken out at all.

Only the federal ones.

 

Does a Tennessee state return still need to be filed???

If so i know can purchase from Turbotax, but can I download the Tennessee state return electronically from the Tennessee State website???

Tennessee does not have a personal state income tax return when it comes to most types of income. They do tax investment income (interest and dividends) if the amount is over $2,500 for a coupe filing married-joint.

 

If that applies to you, you may be able to find the return on the Tennessee Department of Revenue website as follows:
