PA Schedule RK-1for a Roth IRA

Hi,

We received a PA schedule RK-1 for my husbands Roth IRA.  We also received a K-1 for federal filing.  Since the dividend was into a Roth IRA it is tax exempt and the Federal portion of TurboTax would not record it even though I entered the information. I am now trying to enter a PA schedule RK-1 and I cannot figure out where to enter it.  Since it is again distribution to a Roth IRA I don't know if I need to include it since it should be tax free.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Ann

Is your K-1 and RK-1 from an estate or trust tax return (Form 1041)? That shows up on the screen Income from Estates and Trusts.

  1. Say Yes to Do you want to work on your income from estates and trusts?
  2. Edit your estate or trust in the Estates and Trusts Summary
  3. You can only change the total amount of reported income. You are not able to adjust specific categories.
  4. If you received a RK-1, check the box.

My K-1 and RK-1 are not from an estate or trust tax return.  There was a real estate investment that my husband invested in using his Roth IRA.  The real estate interest has been sold and he received a K-1 for federal and a

RK-1 for the state of Pennsylvania.  When using Home and Business TurboTax, TurboTax would not record the information as box 12 is checked, If this partner is a retirement plan IRA/SEP/Keogu/etc., .  We did not take a distribution, the profits went back into his IRA.

I am now trying to complete my PA tax return and cannot find where to enter the RK-1 since the K-1 was not entered into the federal return since box 12 was checked.

If anyone has information as to where or how to enter the RK-1 for a PA return I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Ann
