Own a home in NC, but live in SC. Do I file a NC state return? The house is dormant awaiting a transfer for my daughter.

No, you do not need to file based solely on owning a home in North Carolina.

You only need to file a North Carolina state tax return if you have income from the state.

Thank you.  I thought that, but wanted clarification.
