On my w2 wages,tips,other comp is $23,497.16 but on the form shows $23,696.60 my soc sec tax withheld of $1,456.82 isn't on there at all

how would I correct this error

Sorry you don't get the SS in box 4 back.  That is a tax.  You just get the federal income tax withholding in box 2.

Does your return have some letters by the 23,696 wages?  SCH is taxable scholarship income.  Or HSH.
