NYC Partial Year Resident - Local Wages

I am filling out my state taxes for NY. I was a partial resident of NYC from 1/1/20-3/14/20. In the 'New York City and Yonkers Information' section, under 'Your Wages Summary', Turbo Tax auto-populated the number from box 18 on my W2. I am planning on applying a percentage to my wages to calculate how much I earned while living in NYC vs. not. Should I be applying the percentage to the number from box 18 or box 1 on my W2?

Thanks!

You would apply the percentage TO box 1 of your Form W-2.

See Part 1 – New York adjusted gross income of the Instructions for Form IT-360.1 for more information.

Got it - thank you! On the "Allocate Wage Income" page, it is asking me to enter the percentage of the income earned while a resident of NYC. It is asking for the resident percentage. Do I put the percentage in the box (22%) or do I put the actual wage earned while living in NYC ($xxx)?

You should enter the percentage 22 for the NY income.  This will have TurboTax do the math for you.
