Hello TarboTax people and management----
My federal was accepted but NY state was rejected with the following error message "NY_TuitionAndFees_hold - There was an issue with your Tuition and Fees on your New York return." There was supposed to be an update last week but no update fixed the issue. There was supposed to be another update to the "software" on 3/6 but no update so far. I use home and business version of the software.
It is so frustrating and embarrassment, that none of the turbo tax support people I speak to can give a real answer. This would be my last year to use the Turbotax product. I have been a customer past 5 years.
That is reported on IT-272 which shows as available and updated.
If you are using Desktop, have you updated your software?
I have updated the software on 3/5, 3/6 and afterward. It did not fix the problem.
On the side note, wasted with each Turbotax members from 30-45 min. I probably called at least 10 times. As I mentioned before, no one had the answer and I have just asked to wait for another "magical" update. I spoke to a CPA, TAX attorney, product specialist and a supervisor. All Tarbox tax people.
But all of it changed last night with a product support person. I wish I remembered her name. The product specialist had me reinstall my app and resubmit. Guess what, NY state accepted the return. How smart was the last person! problem resolved within 20 min.
