NY State won't calculate tax liability - can't e-file

My NY state tax summary keeps saying no taxes due this year, even though I owe a small amount.  I think I mistakenly had clicked on some popup stating that the IRS/NY tax authority should calculate a balance instead of myself.  I cannot find any place to correct that selection.  I've had paid a few minutes before this, so I now can't delete and restart.  How can I get it to calculate the amount owed, let me pay and then e-File?

New York State does not get a copy of your summary sheet when you e-file. They will, however, get your tax form, IT-201 or IT-203. Does your state tax return reflect the amount of tax due? If so, you can send in the payment with the voucher attached and disregard the summary page.

I actually was able to solve this.

Somehow an EIC form had been created, even though I’m not eligible. The NY specific form needed to be deleted from the package before I could e-file.

Thanks
