NJ tax payment deadline if the NJ return is filed before 4/15/22?

What is the NJ tax payment deadline if the NJ return is filed before 4/15/22?

 

Do I recall you can pick your NJ taxes payment date?

 

And can you pay what you owe after 4/15/22?

just as you can pay federal tax on the IRS website,

you can pay state tax on the NJ taxation website.

enter your bank account info. and the desired date.

pay it now and get it over with.

If you pay the tax on the NJ website, you would still have to file your NJ return, either on paper or with eFile?

 

So how does paying directly online on their website help?

Yes, you still have to file a NJ return.  Paying on the NJ tax website generates an immediate confirmation.

paying online, or mailing a personal check or money order,

are the only two options I'm aware of.
