I got a message saying that my NJ state return was rejected:
NJ_PY_Retirement_Exclusion_Hold - Your New Jersey state return requires a product update before it can be electronically filed.
However, other people I know from NJ have been able to successfully file their state returns using TurboTax. Is there a fix for this?
It sounds like there's a state form you need that is not yet ready for e-filing. To check when this form will be available, follow the steps below:
Visit the following Help Article: State forms availability table for TurboTax individual ...
Select your TurboTax product
Click View availability next to your state
Locate the form and view the print and e-file availability dates
Once your form becomes available, it will automatically update if you're using TurboTax Online. For the TurboTax CD/Download software, you will need to check for updates or update manually using the steps listed here.
Thanks! But should the unavailability of this form not have been an impediment for others who successfully submitted NJ returns and got acknowledgments of acceptance from the state through TurboTax? I know that my situation is identical to that of a friend, who did not face this problem.
Hi,
I have the same situation:
NJ_PY_Retirement_Exclusion_Hold
But also some info about 1040 partial return form. Seems NJ doesn’t has this form - so how to solve that issue?
I was rejected already 3 times.
all forms for NJ ready…
i have the same issue
if the form was nt ready TT should not have allowed e-filing
it does not give any idea what form is missing
and the TT app says this unknown form will be ready on feb 17. clearly not.
I received that rejection on 2/18 although TT says the form was available by 2/17. The reject was sent in 3.5 hours. Did another efile immediately after the rejection now about 19 hours no rejection hopefully awaiting acceptance.
