My Vermont tax return is asking for a span number. I do not have one because I am a renter in the state of Vermont. How do I get around this on my tax return?

The SPAN number is required in order to claim the Vermont renter's credit which you are probably entitled to if the system is asking you for it.

Thank you for the reply. I don’t qualify for the rebate as I make way to much income. I have never had this happen while doing my taxes in the past 10 years, odd that it came up as it said I did not qualify but still wanted the SPAN #. Again thank you
