My Vermont payment from last year, is not correct on this year's form. Can I correct this before I file?

Reviewing the 2016 State return to file shows a difference in the amount paid to the state for last year's return of $10.  I need to correct this.

Hello,

Yes you can correct it for this year since you have not filed it.

Hello,
In the federal taxes section, under Deductions and Credits, there will be a section called Other Income Taxes, under which there will be another section for Other Income Taxes paid in 2016. Click on Balance due on 2016 state tax return, and you correct the number.
