My state is asking for spouse’s information, but I am single. I put that I am single in all the documents

It won’t let me file taxes because it is wanting spouse Information. I am single. I out the option that I’m single

Click your name in MY INFO and go through the screens again.  It asks if you were married in 2023.  Make sure you said NO.

Are you filing Single or Married Filing Separate? The latter case requires some minimal information about the spouse.

Please go to Personal Info/My Info and look to see if there is a spouse there. If not, then click on Edit for your name. Go through this interview about you until you come to "Were you married" or "Filing Status" or some such thing. Click on Single even though this seems redundant.

Things like this happen when on the first pass of the interview, a user clicks on something without meaning to, then TurboTax has trouble forgetting it.
