My employer withheld tax for Arkansas by mistake and didnt correct W2. I don't care about recovering the withholdings.Do I have an obligation to file a tax return in AR?

I work for a company where we need to fill a timesheet every day. By mistake, I have coded 5 hours to the state of Arkansas, where I have never been. My employer refused to correct my w2 form and some taxes were withheld for this state. It was not much, so I don't care about recovering the withholding taxes. Do I have an obligation to file a nonresident tax return in Arkansas?

No, if you did not have Arkansas source income (from working in Arkansas) you do not have to file if you do not want to get the incorrect withholding back.

I have this same issue except the state is CA and there were no tax withholdings. It was only around $200 in wages, so I guess the tax on that is around $2? What should I do?

Since your income was only around $200 you do not need to file a CA return.

Okay, thank you! Is that because I don't need to pay CA state taxes if wages are below a certain amount? I read the link you sent but didn't see that explicitly explained. Thank so much

Yes, since your income is below the filing requirement for CA, you do not have to file a CA tax return.  See the charts below explaining the income requirements for each filing status:
