Multiple states filings help!

I and my husband lived in New York City for 2 months, I worked in NY but my husband worked in Pennsylvania in these 2 months. Then we both lived and worked in Washington DC for 10 months. Which returns we have to file for each state - non resident or part resident?

For New York and DC you will need to file Part-Year Resident forms.  For PA, you would be filing as a nonresident, however, there is not a NonResident form.  It is just a checkmark on the form to say you are not a resident.  Only the person who worked in PA would be filing the PA return, so this one would be married filing separate.

We want to file a joint return. So we can file federal, NY and DC joint and PA has to be file married filing separate?
