Minnesota form M1PR does not fill in when it is brought up and one can not manually fill it in. Last yr I had to click on "Homeowner" box to have it propagate but his year 2024 taxes that does not work.

If you are a homeowner, you may also be eligible for a special property tax refund. This refund has no income limit and the maximum refund is $1,000. You may qualify if all of these are true:

• You owned and occupied your home on January 2, 2024 and January 2, 2025

• Your net property tax on your homestead increased by more than 12% from 2024 to 2025

• The increase was at least $100

MN Department of Revenue.

In TurboTax:

  1. Open MN return
  2. Continue to the screen Tell us your living situation
  3. Select You own a home
  4. Continue until you get to the screen Other Forms You May Need. Make sure Property Tax Refund is selected
  5. Continue and select that you want to file the Property Tax Refund.
  6. Select Homeowner on the screen Property Tax Refund.
  7. Continue and enter your information.
