MFS CA Nonresident

My spouse and I are filing MFS this year. I moved to Washington state in 08/23. I was a California resident prior to that. The very last question before I can submit my taxes states MFS - California nonresident yes and MFS - California nonresident no. I have to select one of them. Would I be a nonresident yes since I no longer live there or would I be nonresident no since I lived there part of the year?

Since you are currently a non-resident, choose 'Yes'.

You are actually a Part-Year Resident for tax purposes.

Here's more info on California Part Year Resident Taxes and a TurboTax FAQ on  Allocating Income for a Part-Year Resident  to help you.
