"Unemployment compensation income of $------, less an Unemployment compensation exclusion of -$10,200 was included on your federal return.
We need to know what portion of that net income was from sources in Maryland which qualifies for a Maryland subtraction. Also include net unemployment benefits from the unemployment insurance program of any of the following jurisdictions, with which Maryland has a reciprocal taxation agreement: Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Maryland-source Net Unemployment Compensation ? (Enter “0” if none)."
Note: Payer was State of Maryland, Maryland department of Labor.
Thanks

MD starts with the federal AGI and is looking for differences. You qualify for the same exclusion in MD and it shows on the 502LU. See How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing? to be sure you have the form and that your return is correct.
I got the same message under:
Maryland Benefits from Unemployment Comoensation.
Unemployment compensation of $xxxx was included on your federal return.
we need to know what portion of that net income was from sources in Maryland which qualify for a Maryland subtraction.........
If I put the amount that is listed on federal return it keeps saying it has to be fixed and I can print and file??? If I put 0 then maryland taxes jumps up a lot. TurboTax automatically puts the amount listed on federal return in box yet it won't let you file this way.
@Summerbeachman Put exactly one dollar less than the amount on the federal return. That should fix it.
