Living in 2 States half of the year but the income is only from 1 state

Hi,

I lived in Missouri for 5 month in 2019 (owned a house) but I worked in Kansas the whole year, so my income only came from one state. After the 5 month I sold my house in Missouri and moved to Kansas, the same state where I always worked.

The question is do I need to file in Missouri too? I never had an income there, it came always from Kansas.

Just making sure since Turbo Tax is giving me the option to purchase the Missouri State Tax, not sure if is because I lived there for 5 month or because I sold my house there.

You are not required to file a Missouri state return since you had no income in that state during 2019. Please view the Missouri filing requirements for more information.
