Lived in one state at beginning of year and then moved to another state at the end of the year (and worked in both states)

I am preparing taxes for a teenager that lived in Michigan from January-September (and worked there and received a W-2) and then moved to Pennsylvania (now permanent residence) and worked from September-December in Pennsylvania(and received a W-2). I was able to complete the PA state return using PA income, but I'm not sure what to do about Michigan. TurboTax did not prompt that I needed to do anything with Michigan. Thoughts??? Thanks!

At the beginning of the program, in the Personal Info section, you would have been asked if you made money in any other state. You would have indicated MI. He is a part year resident of each state. You would need to include the date he moved to keep the incomes separate.
