Just a heads up for VA state filers (not a question) - threshold for requirement to file electronically is higher that indicated in TTax

Heads up that there's an error in guidance in TurboTax 2024:

You are required to file electronically if your income tax is more than $6,000.00, not the lower amount indicated in the software. Here's the link to the state of Virginia site:

I think this refers to payments not filing of the return itself

Hi Baldietax,

You are so right -

In VA you are required to pay taxes electronically if the total tax due is is more than $6,000.00

 

Sorry for the confusion - this is my first time ever posting anything, anywhere; and I didn't read my answer to make sure it said what I meant to say.
