It's now forcing me to mail in my fed returns because the MO w2 shows $0 in box 1 but has amounts in boxes 16, 17, 28, and 19. I have a KS w2 with full wages in box1

I'm a Kansas resident but have 2 W2's for the same employer as I work at 2 of their locations. One in Missouri and the other is in Kansas.  My full wages are accounted for in my Kansas W2 boxes 1-6 but my Missouri W2 only has amounts in boxes 16, 17, 18, & 19.  Do I really have to mail in my federal return because the MO W2 has a blank box 1?

@MM881    No, you just haven't entered your W-2 properly

You are not supposed to be creating a second W-2 for that MO income from that employer.

The  W-2 is from the same employer, so you enter just the single W-2 (the KS one), and then in the boxes down in 15-to-20 you enter the MO information in a second line.

In the software, for the state area under the KS line for boxes 15&higher, there is text to hit to "Add another row".

Delete that MO W-2 you entered, and edit in the MO info in that fully-filled W-2.
