IT-203-B line 1p

I'm doing a New York State return and I have an allocation because I was a part year resident. On my Form IT-203-B line 1p it has one amount but on Form IT-203 page 1 line 1 in the New York state amount column it has the same as the federal amount. Is this right? I would think that my New York State amount on It-203 page 1 line 1 should be the allocated amount.

You are correct.  If an amount calculates on Form IT-203-b line 1p that is (presumably) less than the Federal wage amount, then that figure on line 1p should be what is reflected on line 1 in the New York income column.  If that's not what the system shows, double-check your inputs to make sure there wasn't some errant keystroke, and afterwards you may need to contact customer service.  In this public forum we don't have access to your tax return information or TurboTax account to effectively diagnose why your calculation has not transferred correctly.  To contact customer service, please see this link:  What is the TurboTax phone number?
