IT-112-R Total Tax Line 4,19, 24

I'm filling out NY IT-112-R to claim a resident credit for taxes paid in NJ. The easy fill prompt is asking if any of the total tax amount was paid for on my behalf by an entity or by me.

What does this mean? Is it considered paid by an "entity" if it was paid for by money that employer withheld? Or would that be by me?

Also I accidentally deleted the value for adjustments (Line 4) and I'm unsure how do I get this back or how can I recalculate?

Taxes withheld are paid by you.

I cannot say what was on line 4. It would have possibly included a state refund amount if your state refund was taxed on your Federal return.

You could delete the state return and start over if you think there was more included on line 4.
