In filling out my Ohio RITA return it is asking for dates in column 6 that "should be a current tax year date" What does it mean? What tax year 2016 or 2018?

You are being asked to enter the dates in 2017 that you earned your W-2 wages. If your wages were not earned throughout the entire calendar year, or you moved, indicate the from/thru dates in which the wages were earned.

Mostly likely 1/1/2017 - 12/31/2017 for one job uninterrupted during the year, i.e. no job change. Blank is probably also an acceptable answer for a job with no interruptions.
