In filing my Virginia State return, do I need to include all or part of the Federal return?

When you print your federal and state returns to mail in, instructions will print with them as well. Generally you mail your federal return, a copy of your tax documents that had tax withholding, and the payment with the payment voucher if you owe anything. For your state, you mail your state and a copy of your federal return together along a copy of your tax documents that had tax withholding, and the payment and payment voucher if you have one.

Are you e-filing or mailing the return?

Mailing as turbo tax wouldn't allow me to email which I have always done in the past?

In the past, TT would decide which parts of the federal return were needed to file with the Virginia return. This year it all prints out, including TT's instructions on how and where to file the federal return. Raises doubts and wastes paper.

TOTALLY AGREE - WASTE OF PAPER, THINK THEY'RE TRYING TO GET YOU TO PAY TO EFILE
