If I lived in WI, moved to IL (May to Aug) for internship, then back to WI (Aug to Dec), how can I reflect this in my IL Nonresident and Part-Year Resident form dates?

My Nonresident and Part-Year Resident form says I lived in Illinois from 1/1/24 to 8/8/24 (Step 1, part 2a). Additionally, my Wisconsin 1040 form has the correct residency dates listed. I cannot find any way to change the start date of my residency on the IL form. How do I fix this?

You were not an IL resident, at any time in 2024.  You were a full year WI resident. Your time in IL was only a temporary absence from your resident state (WI). You file a non-resident IL return and a resident WI return.

That's a good thing TurboTax doesn't handle a "rotating residency" situation very well.
