I work in Kansas and live in Missouri. How to claim claim the refund when the 1099-G is under my husband's social?

Thank you, if you are not filing a joint return that you can enter your share of the 1099G on your return.

You can look at your income versus your spouse's to do this. So for example if you made 45% of the income for 2017, then report 45% of the 1099G on your return.

If you are filing joint, then it does not matter that the 1099G is only listed in his SSN, you still report it.

Did you itemize on the Federal taxes for 2017?
