I WORK FOR OHIO HEALTH BUT I WORK IN DIFFERENT PART OF COLUMBUS LIKE WHITEHALL DELAWARE DO I HAVE TO CLAIM LOCAL TAXES

Yes, almost every Ohio city has local taxes.  IF your employer withheld for the wrong location, you should contact them and make sure you file the correct city tax returns.

 

The City of Whitehall has mandatory tax filing for anyone that is 18 years of age or older and lived in or worked in the City during the year and earned income. The current tax rate is 2.5% of gross income.

 

In accordance with Chapter 192 of Delaware's codified ordinance, the City imposes a 1.85-percent tax on income earned by resident individuals and resident businesses; and non-resident individuals and non-resident businesses earning income in the City.
