I was in Maryland on the last day of the year and don't intend to make it my permanent residence (temporary only), do I still claim residency for MD?

We need a lot more information.  Where is your permanent home?  How long did you live and work in Maryland?  When did you enter and leave Maryland?  What kind of place did you stay in (apartment in your own name, hotel, friends house, etc.)
