I paid Ohio RITA tax in 2016. Where do I claim this deduction? I went to the "other income taxes" page, but I don't see where to enter this

Assuming that "paid RITA" means you paid a balance due* when you filed a RITA return; In TurboTax (TT), enter at:

Federal Taxes Tab (Personal for H&B version)

Deductions & Credits

“I’ll choose what I want to work on” button

-Scroll down to:

--Estimates & other taxes paid

   -Other Income taxes

On the next screen, scroll down to:

-Other income taxes paid in 2016

On the next screen (Other Taxes Paid):

       -click yes, then continue

-On the next Screen (Other withholding not already entered), just click continue

-On the next Screen (balance due on your 2014 state taxes, just click done

-The next screen will be Balance due on 2015 local tax

*City estimates or withholding are in that same general area of the program

You can select View/Forms to get in the forms view.  Select the form Carryover Wks. Under the 2016 Locality Taxed Due section you can enter the Locality and amount Paid With Return.  This amount will then be added to Schedule A State and Local Taxes Paid
