I owe the state of Michigan $159 and it says if I owe less than $500 I do not need to file form 2210. I am being held up by this. I will be mailing the state of Michigan

I do not have to file form 2210. I plan to pay Michigan $159 on or before April 18, 2017

You are correct - if you owe less than $500 to Michigan, you are not required to file Form MI-2210.

If for some reason, it is taking you through the screens for MI-2210, you can suppress the calculation of Form MI-2210 by selecting the option to "Let Michigan Bill Me".
